東京市荒川区に生まれる。彫刻家毛利教武の次男、長男は日本画家の武彦、三男は建築家の武信。
1943（S18）20歳
東京美術学校彫刻科塑造部を繰り上げ卒業。卒業制作《大象氏象》（のちに《男の顔》と改題）
1944（S19）21歳
「石丸寛・毛利武士郎 二人展」銀座田屋画廊（東京）《少女の顔》《大象氏象》(1943)
応召、満州の独立歩兵部隊、後に対戦車砲部隊に配属され、その後沖縄宮古島にて被弾負傷。
1945（S20）22歳
沖縄宮古島の野戦病院にて終戦を迎える。
1946（S21）23歳
復員。日本画家の森村宣永宅（文京区）に仮寓する。
1947（S22）24歳
京都の国立博物館にて鎌倉期の仏像の模刻制作に従事する。
1948（S23）25歳
友人とともに、日本橋高島屋百貨店のマネキン原型を制作する。
1951（S26）28歳

*Born in Arakawa Ward, Tokyo. Second son for sculptor Noritake Mohri. The elder brother Takehiko later became a Japanese painter Takehiko, and the younger brother Takenobu later became an architect.
1943 (Age 20)
*Graduated one year earlier due to the war from the Sculpture Department of the Tokyo Fine Arts School (present day Tokyo University of the Arts). Sculpture Department, Sculpture Course.
1944 (Age 21)
Hiroshi Ishimaru and Bushiro Mohri Two-Person Exhibition, Taya Gallery, Tokyo.
*Called up for military service. First assigned to an independent infantry unit in Manchuria, followed by an anti-tank artillery unit. Later wounded in Miyako Island, Okinawa.
1945 (Age 22)
*Spent the final day of the war in a field hospital in Miyako Island, Okinawa.
1946 (Age 23)
*Demobilised. Temporarily lodged with family at the home of Japanese painter Yoshinaga Morimura in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo.

Led by Teiichi Hijikata, in this association, sculptors created forms and painters painted on them. Using Rosanjin’s kiln in Kamakura they collaboratively created experimental ceramic-based works.
